Big 5 has always been my go to sporting goods shop as a kid.... Something about their boxy layout, registers smack in the center, no fancy display cases or racks... I like.
Got back from vacation and realised.. oh. I need to get shin guards for the new soccer classes we are starting. (In my head: What are shin guards??? what do they look like? Are they expensive? Who makes them? Etc.)
I am often in need of sporting goods for my ever changing kiddo's athletic needs.. and this place has it all. For less. Like, usually 20-30% less. And that means a lot.
I actually ended up walking in to the newer, fancier new sports authority in the old borders bookstore in the mall, 20 minutes prior to my purchase here. (See review....) I ended up saving $10, had infinitely better service, and left so happy. The woman even explained that shin guards go UNDER the socks. Not over them. Lol. I was about to do it wrong!!!
Always happy to find what I need here. I do love sports basement, but their locations were too far out of the way for me that day..
